Façade Grant Program
The Framing Ferdinand Façade Grant Program provides matching funds to property owners and business tenants who invest in improving the exterior appearance of buildings in the Main Street district. A better-looking downtown benefits every business on the block.
How It Works
Approved applicants receive a matching grant to offset the cost of qualifying exterior improvements. Framing Ferdinand reimburses a portion of documented project costs upon completion and final inspection. Funds are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis each program year.
All work must be approved before it begins. Retroactive applications for completed projects will not be considered.
Eligible Improvements
Signage
New or restored storefront signage consistent with the historic character of the district.
Façade Restoration
Repair or restoration of historic façade elements including brick, stone, wood, and masonry.
Windows & Doors
Replacement or repair of storefront windows and entry doors.
Awnings & Canopies
Installation or replacement of awnings that complement the building's architectural character.
Exterior Lighting
Façade-mounted lighting that enhances visibility and storefront appearance.
Paint & Surface Treatment
Exterior painting and approved surface treatments on qualifying structures.
Who Can Apply
Commercial properties located within the Ferdinand Main Street district
Property owner or business tenant with owner authorization
Current on all property taxes and municipal obligations
Proposed improvements must be visible from the public right-of-way
